The January Jump Start program is something I have been planning for quite some time and I am so excited to share this with you. This 8-week program encompasses personal training, nutrition coaching, yoga practice and meditation to embody a weight loss wellness journey.
So… let’s break down what is exactly included in this offer that is totally different from other weight loss program.
Personal training is individualized to target your weak points and to guide you on total body strength. This is a major thing that can get left out of typical weight loss programs. not to mention how people can have information overload on what works best for them. The one-on-one attention with the personal training component is especially important if you have had previous injuries. This can get missed when people go on an app or jump into group training and can often lead to further injury.
Nutrition coaching is NOT putting you on keto or any other cookie cutter plan! Nutrition is to nourish your body with variety of foods that work with your dietary intake keeping in mind of your likes, dislikes, allergies, what things you have done in the past for dieting. The idea is to MAKE FOOD FUN! Healthy doesn’t need to be boring and doesn’t need to be restricting to cause an unhealthy relationship with food. Through the nutrition coaching sessions holds accountability and following through to help you reach your goals in a sustainable way.
Ahhhh… Yoga. Other than telling you “Yoga is life” yoga is the application of movement that improves the mind body connection. It’s so easy to go through the motions of your workouts (which you will learn how to feel targeted muscles in your training program). Or it is easy to get caught in the repetition of sitting in a car, to sitting at a desk, sitting at the dinner table or the couch, to then lying down for bed. Learning yoga in a safe semiprivate environment is where you can truly learn how to conduct your body to flow into the poses properly. Yoga provides low impact, strengthening exercise, breath to movement to increase blood flow, boost your immune system, and dissolve body stiffness. Class schedule will be available for in person classes (limit of 8 total per class) as well as online access if unable to attend in person.
Meditation can be a powerful tool for not only calming the mind but also for letting go of negative emotions. Meditation can establish a state of mindfulness, which involves being fully present and aware of the present moment without judgment. Observe your negative emotions as passing events rather than getting tangled in them. Non-judgmental awareness can allow you to acknowledge and accept these emotions without griping onto them. You are moving past a struggle of weight loss and accomplishing what it feels like to move better, breathe better, and to become more confident wihtin yourself whether that impacts you with your interpersonal relationships, being a better parent, being present for caring for others, strengthening your mind to keep your peace. Without this we can fall into mental ruts to mentally keep us down. Don’t let yourself down. Let’s lift eachother up!
